Lucic with the best quote of the night, even though he misspoke.

Absolutely. Chances against are always going to happen as the other teams have something to say about how the game is played-out of course. I am just talking about unforced errors (like why Zadorov is sitting). I actually expect their sparkling fancy stats to look even a little bit better in the next few weeks as the players continue to feel more comfortable with how Sutter is having them play.

Just chill dude. You don't need to defend against Oiler fans on the ATL.

You need to save your strength for when the Flames lose next.

Boy I love this! On so many levels. Mangiapane and Lindholm one better than the NHL's Lord and Savior, granted he has one less game.

Ovechkin leading the pack. I'm skeptical that he can pull it off but it would be so great if he managed to best the best. It would be incredible on its own but Oiler fans would be so damn salty!

I really wanted us to score the empty netter. I wanted 6 tonight.

Am I being too greedy?

The Flames are suddenly fun to cheer for again. Why? This year it looks like they actually give a crap!

Last year so many times they folded the tent and went home before the game really even got started. Flames will always be #1 in my heart but it's fun watching a team without any expectations too.

Climate Pledge is rocking tonight as the Kraken are blowing out the habs. Listen to the crowd, it is fun. Right now I have three teams with Florida that I like to watch as many games as possible. I got a Kraken Gio Jersey which is pretty sick I must admit though.

To avoid any confusion, if the two teams play against each other I'll cheer for the Flames to win, though I'll be happy either way with the result. Happy to eat crow so far, hope they keep this going. I still remain concerned with the long term strategy and pending contract and asset management scenarios with MK and JG.

He was offended by someone altering his gif or something like that; I missed the beginning of that kerfuffle. I hope he gets back to it though. It's not the same feeling without Yanet...

Great to see Mangiapane carry over his play from late last year and the World Cup... confidence makes a big difference for some players.

Hopefully, the focus the team found on this road trip can be replicated when they get home

Cheer for whoever you want...when you come to CP after the 1st game of the season and say Seattle are already more fun than the Flames I'm gonna break your balls a bit.

A light breeze could blowout the Habs right now...so enjoy, I see a lot of losses for Seattle this season. At least they raised a cup banner for another team though lol.

Another good solid win, jumping out to a 4-0 lead in the first is quite impressive and then playing the rest of the game with a lead and not letting the Devils back in it.

I was a bit surprised to see Dan Vladar get the start but it was a good call and now we'll probably see Markstrom on Thursday against the Penguins.

It's a long season and the Flames play every other day for the next 2 months so these early wins are good, need to keep winning. Overall a pretty solid win in my view. Good to have a good back up like Vladar.

Couple photos from NHL.com,
Mangiapane spraying the goalie as he scores his second goal I believe that one is, and Milan Lucic!!
