Through four starts Robin Lehner has a 3.60 GAA and a 0.900 SP. This could be a long year in VGK.

Zach Hyman would have looked good on the Flames.

All you can do is laugh watching Vegas bobble the puck wide open in the slot at the end, of course two seconds later the Oilers score. I mean, what can you say right now.

And Jack Michaels is really really bad at his job. It's beyond cringey. Cripes.

Nice to see Aiden Hill with the win for SJ over the Leafs. He's buddies with my pal's son, who is also a goalie.

He is a decent player...he is also certainly reaping the McDavid rewards

James Neal lead the league in goals for 2 months playing with McDavid

Hyman is a much more effective hockey player than Neal ever was. Neal was like Monahan in his prime. Only useful if scoring. Classic selfish floater. Sure he could score but that's it. I'd rather have guys like Hyman who play with passion and boundless energy

Didn't mean Monahan is selfish. He seems like a class act. More meant that they both are one dimensional

Monahan in his prime is not one-dimensional. I'm not his biggest fan but he can actually set up plays, win faceoffs, etc. I don't see him and Neal as all that similar at all.

Monahan, in my view, is a classic sniper. Knows where to be and has a deadly accurate shot

Ya. More complete than Neal but still both are pure offense guys.

In his time with the Flames?? No. No, he absolutely was not. Not even close.

Extremely hard worker and is just a smart player. The way he plays reminds me of Daymond Langkow. I'm not comparing one vs another directly as they are different positions for one, but how hard they work and how smart they are with their hockey IQ is where the parallel is.

Yeah Hyman is a very solid secondary player. Love to have him on the Flames. It's a shame I have to cheer against him for years now.

The Sharks love playing on the road as they win their 4th straight game. After a scoreless 1st period, things opened up big time in the 2nd period. Both teams scored 5 goals, including 3 goals in 73 seconds! Neither team could score on the power play. Couture had 3 points (2g, 1a).

The Bruins, wearing their alternate black jerseys on the road again, had Ullmark in net. He was playing against his former team and did well making 35 saves. The Bruins were perfect on the PK going 4/4.

The Stars can thank Holtby for great goaltending for the OT win, 43 saves. I wonder if Hakanpaa will be suspended for the kneeing major he took.

The Oilers won, yawn.

Hulu/ESPN+ commentators
John Buccigross and Ryan Callahan called the Bruins-Sabres game.
Leah Hextall and Bryan Boucher called the Kings-Stars game.

I have watched multiple angles of the kneeing incident and to me it is clearly incidental contact, Hakanpas does not intentionally stick out his leg to make contact. Just an ugly freak accident imo. The director of player safety is a former goon with mush for brains from too many head shots so who knows though.

Yeah it had everything to do with the angle of their bodies when they hit. I don’t see an extension of the leg there that we typically see when a player is about to get beat.
