I’m using them as a comparison. They beat the snot out of us on the one stat where it matters most. The score board. I don’t see us turning the tables against them anytime soon. I think some of you are overreacting to the goaltending right now. I don’t think Markstrom has been bad, he just hasn’t made that big timely save yet.

None of the goals he’s allowed I would call pretty weak. But a couple of them I would say could have been saved.

His timing will come. The team looked good again tonight. Let’s give them a few games to work out the kinks, Markstrom included.

Also I think Mangiapane is my new favourite player to watch. Him, Gaudreau, and Coleman all had fantastic games up front. Thought Dube was good too.

It’s a nuanced discussion. I’m saying their winning ways inspired the greatest flame of all time arguably.

We have a long way to go to inspire a future arguably best player of the oilers.

I’m saying we are the envious neighbor that never gets it right hockey wise. This ownership group has us all duped. Plus competition should make us better. It just leaves our team with a lot of catching up to do. To be fair, I don’t think they are a playoff team let alone a threat. Name the teams the flames edge out for a spot this year!

Colorado? Vegas? Winnipeg? Minny? St. Louis? Nashville? LA? Edmonton? That’s 8 spots right there man. I’m frustrated too. But if we want banners we gott change our dynamics.

Its pretty simple...finish top 3 in the Pacific. They have played 2 games and were the better team for the majority. Clean up a couple things and its certainly doable

I agree with u here. I don’t think it’s on marky. It’s a 3 -2 league indeed. But we struggle to score three. Bad teams with streaky goalies give this team fits. That happened tonight. Again.

I didn’t say he is the problem. I personally said you could get a lot for him before he become too cost prohibitive. Plus he isn’t getting faster. And to me isn’t an elite winger.

I don’t think our top line is good enough to compete against the top lines of more legitimate contending clubs.

Zadorov is not the best fit with Tanev I agree based on what I saw this game. I’d rather try valimaki or the kyllington experiment from preseason I would continue over big Z.
