Oh, yes. A screen-cap is always the best method for judging a person's feelings in the moment.

None of us knows this. It seems likely that there was interest from other teams in Gudbranson.

calm down, you don't need to get your ninnies in a knot over literally anything counter- team narrative.

Every flame they put up there for media ops goes up in flames gear. Hanifin, right next to him, isn't wearing a single thing not flames labeled. Kylington is dressed like he's about to go incognito. Not worthy of any comment?

So if Gudbranson plays poorly and turns out to be a bad signing, is that on the coach or the GM?

What if he is a revelation?

Or is it on the owners?

On the FAN960 a few minutes ago, he certainly talked up Valimaki and talked down Kylington. So just maybe they want to increase the value of Valimaki for a potential suitor.

I can't recall too many 30 year old plugs on their 6th team since 2019 getting handed $2M contracts in mid September. In a completely dead UFA D market at that point it is extremely likely that nobody was in pursuit of this guy. He has been on borrowed time for the last 3-4 seasons and played what should have been his final card in Nashville last year.

What I can recall is bums like this instead getting PTOs that makes them at least play their way onto a roster.

Do you have a bit more detail than this? I'm just curious since I am unable to listen in.

They had about a 10 minute interview with Brad. They asked him about bright spots in camp and he talked about Kylington, Gawdin, and Vladar.

When talking about Kylington, he praised his growth in his defensive game, but kept cautioning several times over that he is still making mistakes protecting the puck. In particular the last couple of pre-season games he slid back. They see a lot of potential in him, but he needs to play a simpler game and be consistent. He also made mention that games earlier in the pre-season were against a different level of competition, skewing things a bit for Kylington.

He must have made the same point about protecting the puck 3 times at least to make sure the listeners knew why Kylington was lower on the depth chart after what looked like a really good camp.

Imagine being an owner and watching your GM flush $2m down the toilet.

Full video clip that you can watch and actually listen to what both Hanifin and Kylington are saying about Saturdays opener and their thoughts so far in the pre-season. Or I guess you could also look at a screen cap at the 0:14 second mark instead!

To answer your question: no.
I don't think it is worthy of a comment. It's a nothing thing.
Since you asked.

*GASP*

Hanifin and Tanev looked absolutely pissed about playing for the Flames. Both of them decided to buck protocol and ditch all of their Flames gear for this stunning interview.
