I wouldn't say it is a steal by any means, but is about right. Which is all any fan should ever expect anyway.
Takes them out of being a destination for high profile free agents, so other teams can relax a little. Florida is probably tops on a lot of player's lists.

Yes, but there is no chance Johnny signing for less than 7.5M. Not in Canada. Not unless he has a disastrous season. He’d walk if that is the best offer.

If that is the best offer Gaudreau is to get, then he most likely would take it.

I am being pedantic, so, yes. If the best offer on the table for Gaudreau is $7.5 m then he will probably sign that deal.
