No, the Rays are playing possum. They're going to take the Yankees to 21 innings and then pump in 5 runs for the win so those pinstriped a-holes have nothing left for the play-in.

Again though, when the Jays are confident, they pour it on. When they face a tough situation they don't always fare very well. Semien needed that - hasn't had much luck of late.

Apologies if this has been discussed in the thread but can someone please explain what it’s going to take for the Jays to keep playing after today? Do we just need one of the Yankees, Sox or Mariners to lose? Or two of them to lose?

Oh boy. Red Sox caught a break to score a 2nd run. It's now 5-2.

Need one of the Yankees or Red Sox to lose.

Another runner in scoring position for the Rays with no one out. EDIT: Moved over to third, one out.

He was out if you go by when ball is in the glove not the webbing from what I could see. It was really close and the safe call on the field is what they likely went by.

Arozarena at third. One out, 8th inning. They'll do this.

That's what I was thinking too. It also seemed like the 2nd baseman had time to go to 1st with the catcher running.

Got out of it just giving up the 1 though. 9 outs to go Nats.

So are the Rays now 0 for 11 with RISP?

This is just obnoxious.

Rays now 0-10 RISP. Very un-Ray-like.
