I was pretty impressed by the motor in (#94) Reid Perpeluk in that 1st game....he was all over the place hitting everything. Kind of reminded me of a young Lucic .

As I said in the previous GDT thread: Considering what DS did for the careers of guys like Andy Andreoff, Dwight King, and Jordan Nolan in LA (all players who were basically out of the league after Darryl left), I wonder how big of a look guys like Duehr and Pospisil will get in the main camp. Both players are big and physical, but have some obvious skill and skating that the three LA players did not have.

They have 8 pre-season games...I would not be surprised if more of the young guys get a look in the first two games before they trim the training camp roster.
He's just a guy they are going to want more of a look at. They aren't going to write him off after a bad game during what was his first game in months.

CHL players normally get sent back their teams once their camp starts,
Same with AHL guys.

He was abysmal defensively prior to not playing for months. The break was not what made him so. He needs to focus heavily on defensive play this season. But he would get broken by an NHL player.

Really like the Pelletier-Nikolaev-Zav line so far. All 3 have a strong start so far.
Zary has nice composure with the puck. Waits for plays to develop.
