Brady won't sign that. Too much term. Sounds dumb but I'm certain he wants to keep that option open.

8x8 is an overpay for what brady has shown. That contract sets up his kids kids (if they weren't already of course because of their hockey family).
IMO he would be stupid to turn that down.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out he wants the same style of deal as Matthew - 3 years with a high number in the last year as the qualifier.
If his father is consulting on this, then for sure they want short term deals to maximize future earnings. It looks like Keith was on a lot of 3 year deals.

And he didn't honour one of them.

Jankowski signed a PTO with the Devils.
If anyone is interested. Which they are not.

pretty much no space for Robert Thomas if Tarasenko isn't moved
someone should give him a $4M offer sheet. Just 2nd rounder compensation. Arizona? Bill Armstrong drafted him, and he has five 2nd round picks next year

I feel like they would match and then dump Tarensenko for whatever otherwise I think an offersheet would have been done.

What are the odds the Flames make one more move before the season starts?

I think we need too, aren't we over the cap, and have too many bodies on the back end? I think one major move comes before season starts.

Cap Friendly shows the Flames with $1 million in cap space and that's with Byron Froese ($725,000) on the roster.
I imagine Froese won't be on the roster but one of Mackey ($912,500) or Kylington ($750,000) will be so it will be roughly the same.

I can't see them starting with 8 d-men on the roster. I think Mackey and Kylington will start in the AHL and only get called up when there's an injury.
Mackey won't require waivers to be sent down and Kylington will most-likely clear if he's put on waivers to start the season.

Flames should have $1.8M in space to start the season without any other moves and 22 players on the active roster
