That is my point though, there are certain posters that are clearly his friends on here they do the same thing and not a word is said. The Old Boys Club. Where is Pepsi, I want a truthful ruling on this.

Who cares
I’m not a mod so what I say matters little.
But you can’t handle anyone who disagrees with you.
Whether it a member is the media or someone on here you resort to name calling or other forms of attacks.

Well, Jiri is not the only one who is a increasingly weary of seeing the wager-tactic trotted out so often. This may be the first time it has been called out, but a number of posters here have been rolling our eyes at the "bet me or your wrong" approach to discussion.

You can be sure I am going to be flagging these with more frequency moving forward. (To clarify: it is not against the rules and it never will be; it is just annoying.)

You are right, what you say matters little, especially when you are so full of crap. I don't attack other posters, saying someone has a bias opinion about a player is not an attack. Attacking the media when they are saying something ridiculous is fair game, they are making public posts. What I am really tired of is your petty personal tirade against everything I post you don't agree with. Meanwhile the guy who is Jim Jordan to your Donald Trump does the exact same thing and you don't say squat. Other say much worse things and you don't say boo. I don't care if you don't like my posts but the double standard you have on here targetting only specific posters is laughable.

Day drinking? It's got to be day drinking. At least, I sure hope that's the case.

While betting can be fun for some not everyone feels the same way. That said there are a lot of ways to get a point across. Textcritic has pointed out there are "other" times a betting challenge does appear to get out of hand and probably away from the spirit of discussion.

TOfan there is no need to make it personal.

FWIW, was enjoying the banter between who was the better player until went off the rails.

This is what happens when your GM promises big changes and then sits around on his ass all summer for the third year in a row. When people have nothing else to discuss they turn on each other.

If you're Montreal why wouldn't you use the assets you gained from the offer sheet to meet the Eichel ask? I was worried that Carolina just gift wrapped them Eichel. They were in the rumors for him, and just got 2 assets that are worth more than the player they lost to offer-sheet.

Something about that whole situation doesn't add up. The reported ask of 4 good assets is high but never struck me as astronomical. Either the media has it wrong and it's higher cost than reported or there's some other factor involved. The risk of the injury? Making the cap work? Cowardice?

If you were the walrus, you would know that it's GOO GOO GOO JOOB. Straight from the Magical Mystery Tour liner notes.

Possibly Eichel isn't considered a sure thing, and some teams don't want him. Every single team in the league could pay the ask if they really wanted to.

The victim complex is real.

Back on topic, is Johnny worth more than Kyle Connor?

Connor has 5 more years at 7.15mil. AAV.

Is that really relevant when you're comparing an RFA contract and an upcoming UFA contract?
