Sports eh?
Down 8-2 in the 8th inning two days ago, thinking "well, this season is pretty much over"
Less than 48 hours later and somehow they miraculously swept the A's

Pearson striking out the side has to do wonders for his confidence.
Yankee's and Sox both down 1 atm...

Definitely had his slider working today, and was getting the call on the inside of the plate.
Seemed like a great spot for him too, the score is 8-0, very low pressure, just pitch. Shocking I don't see any attaboys for Montoyo here with that call.

lol
Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
But that is definitely a spot where I wanted to see Baker and Pearson pitch.

Cleveland blows it open in the top of 9 against the Sox and its now 11-5. Orioles still holding onto a 1 run lead in the 9th. Cmon Orioles!

Yankees and REDSOX both lose. Mariners up 2-0 in the 4th. I keep waiting for the M's to go away but it seems like they just won't.

Good lord.
Who would have predicted the Orioles would take 2 of 3 from the Yankees?
Wow

OOT at the end of the Jays game (last I checked) was NYY up 3 on Baltimore and Red Sox within one....... to see the result (basically everyone but the Mariners lost) is wicked icing on a sweep-cake of a weekend.
Jays are back

If Merryweather is good and back to what he was at the start of the season, it really does give the Jays a fighting chance. Being 4.5 games behind, I think it's under 10% chance of them making it, but with Merryweather back, and if Pearson can find his form, it's possible. Hope they grow some big boy gonads against the Yanks starting today.
On another note, Ray is probably the most underrated Ace we've had to date. He didn't come in as an ace, but this year he definitely is one.

Did they say Ray was the first pitcher in MLB history to throw 4 straight regular season games with 10+ strikeouts??

Today, Ryu really needs to be the ace that we are paying him to be.

Semien! Vladdy! Lets Freaking GO!
Yanks pen is beat up right now. Get that pitch count up and work the pen. 4 games series are beasts.
