Saw emerson to spurs and was scared for a sec, thankfully not the chelsea one, emerson royal from barca, but played at betis on loan last 2 years. Not done yet but Romano says fee and personal terms agreed

Haven't seen much but saw this on him in spurs reddit, and spanish media really like him

4th in La Liga for Tackles p90
10th for Interceptions p90
Wins 56% of his ground duels
Wins 63% of his aerial duels
Also top 40 in La Liga for touches in Attacking Penalty Box

Aurier and even doherty can go now please

Hopefully they’re not done in general. As you say, there are at least a few guys who need to be sent out. There are some talks that were still taking a run at Traore, maybe a striker and maybe even another CB. Paratici seems to be working pretty hard to make some long needed changes.

And sending out Sissoko was kind of bittersweet. He was a good soldier for us, if not necessarily a good player. Pretty fun to see him back for the game on Sunday and I hope he does well for Watford, along with Rose.

Leeds United is delighted to confirm the signing of Daniel James from Manchester United.

The winger was close to joining Leeds during the 2018/19 Championship season and has continued to impress through his hard-working nature and lightning pace.

The Whites have now secured the Wales international on a five-year contract, which will run until the summer of 2026, for an undisclosed fee.

Consider the Cantona debt repaid. Best of luck to him. He's a trier.

Reportedly in the region of £24M with add ons.

And to put into context.

Madrid gets Camavingo for £26M. Low risk potentially massive reward.

I really wanted him, after Devo first mentioned it. I don’t want Diaz.

I did too, but it quickly became obvious that he only wanted Madrid. Such is life.

A midfielder would have been the icing on the cake, but hard to not be really happy with that window. Sancho + Varane + Ronaldo is outstanding business. The only really frustrating thing for me is Lingard apparently being happy to sit out his contract as a benchwarmer. He's well within his right to do so, but after his stellar loan at West Ham and with a WC coming in 22, I'm a bit surprised that's what he wants. Also, if you look at what Leeds paid for James, it's not farfetched to think that the funds of James and Lingard could have funded a midfielder. But again, such is life. Still a very strong team in a lot of areas, just have to somehow figure out the balance in midfield I guess.

Trade Odegaard for Camavinga Plus 10M.

Nice deal by Real.

Just lumping all the deadline day stuff in here.

If true, this is staggering. From the Guardian's live updates.

Quote:
Sky’s Kaveh Solhekol claims that Real Madrid offered in excess of €200m for Kylian Mbappé, but didn’t get a response from PSG and have now pulled the plug. He expects Mbappé to sign a pre-contract agreement in January, and join Real for free next summer. Cripes!

I wish they would have accepted it. Probably would have bankrupted Real.

Just shows that money will never matter to them, as they have an unlimited amount

Messi, and Mbappe both moving on Free Transfers within 12 months seems kind of crazy.

Even crazier that PSG wouldn't take the money and just go get Haaland with it.

They want that UCL and going with the superteam this year is probably their best shot. If they don't win maybe there might be some regret not taking the money, but Al-Khelaifi will probably just buy another yacht to drown his sorrows.

the only thing crazier than offering €200m for a player with a year on his contract, in the middle of a pandemic no less, is declining that offer. Completely insane. There'd be heads rolling for that in every normal football club, but then again, this is not a normal football club. They simply don't need the money, and there's no better point to drive that home than not even picking up the phone when someone offers €200m.

I mean the extra money they'll net from having Messi alone might cover the €200m. On a related note Griezmann is going back to Atletico. Barcelona's transfer run between 2017 and 2020 is probably the worst ever.

since they're apparently trying to sign Newcastle legend Luuk De Jong as Griezmanns replacement, I think 2021 wants to be included in your list.

Just a staggeringly bad run of management.

Yeah. Qatar wants old big ears on display at the WC.

Meanwhile Harry has spoke.

Quote:
When asked if he fears the transfer saga has tarnished his reputation, Kane added: “No, I don’t think so.

“I think anyone involved in the football industry knows the ins and outs.

“I was quite calm with the situation, but when you’re in it and you know the truth, then your conscience is clear.

“There’s always going to be noise. My whole career I’ve had ups and downs from when I’m young to where I am, that’s just part of the parcel of it.

“A lot of people that know me will say I’m a professional athlete who’s dedicated my life to this game and that’s what I’ll continue to do.

“I’ll look forward now, the aim has always been to win silverware with Tottenham and it’s been that aim every year.”

Well. No. The aim was to gtfo of Tottenham?

by the way it's pretty crazy that City really didn't sign a striker after all.
