I believe they were always going to sign those players, but I think if I'm going by Friedman's 31 in 31 thoughts approach where he was saying Lamorillo thinks he signed his guys but he's keeping the contracts in his drawer for now, could be the approach that Treliving could be taking. In other words, keep the cards close to his chest to how much cap space he has until a deal is complete. It's not the most out there thing.

Not really a rumour, but wasn't sure where else to put this, but this website has the Flames as signing Ty Lewis to a one-year deal. Looks like a career minor leaguer so far, but only 23.

They have both the both of the Lewis's signed with Calgary. Maybe they were just hedging their bets.

If you look at the details of the signing, it says he signed on July 28. I'm sure if it was real, there would have been an official announcement by now.

July 28th is the same day Trevor Lewis signed. Probably a mis-entry on the webpage

I would want to keep Monahan, as I think Debrusk could be had for a lesser prize but i like the idea.
Or if we offloaded Tkachuk in a trade to the blues or something, Debrusk would be a good fit then.
