I wonder if Big Save Dave can take the starter job away.?
Preds have 2 pretty good goalies though.

Good goalie but never played more than 40 games before. Hopefully, he can handle the workload

it was a smart place for BSD to go; he will play more there than the typical backup

What a steal compared to the asinine deal the Rangers signed their guy too.

Saros single handedly took the preds to the playoffs last year. Great goalie great deal

Doubtful. I imagine he will be able to fill in in admirably the case of injury if he can get his game back. I think he will perform better in a role where he's clearly the backup as it seemed like the pressure of holding a starting role was too much for him.

Really like Saros, great deal.

Saros is small, too, which gives me hope for someone like Dustin Wolf who is a bit taller than Saros.

Well there was a time the Flames were very high on BSD.
Season before his last ....or right before bubble #1 high praise was heaped on David for completely changing his body in the off-season.
Problem is he was up against Talbot who has always worked his ass off and Calgary shouldn't have let him go .
He wasn't the issue (Talbot) and we saw what he did in Minnesota was no fluke.

I’m a bit surprised they didn’t want to give Ingram a look as backup given what he has achieved at the AHL level.

I believe Ingram spent most of last year in rehab (Edit: NHL Players Assistance Program) so I'm guessing they want him to have a good season in the AHL and go from there.

In limited AHL action last year his numbers weren't very good.
