Leaves Dube, Gawdin, Zadorov, Kylington, Valimaki, Krikland, Parsons and Mackey as the only unsigned RFAs (Lerby and Yelesin too but they already signed in Europe).

Still a lot of work to be done.

But first - Eichel trade?

Phillips is in a situation similar to Dan Vladar for the Bruins. Is he close, but not quite ready to make the team, but good enough to get claimed off waivers?

I don't think Philips getting claimed off of waivers is nearly as high as Vlader would be.

Personally I don't believe Vlader will be waived

He is likely the backup

Except Phillips has no trade value. Every team has a few Phillips, there is no chance he gets claimed

This is probably his last chance to make the team
After that he is better finding a new team

don't think Vladar will be waived either, but he likely would have been if he stayed in Boston.

his trade value might be for a comparable waiver-eligible D-man who can be the Flames #7

Yup, agree with you 100%. Treliving said as much himself when he acquired him.

That's not happening. They got the guy they wanted and he is 100% the backup

Phillip Phillips
BT signs another guy who knows how to win.
Sure it was the 11th season of American idol, but he’s still a winner.
