Maybe not the shineist prospect pool in the league but there's some great depth to this group!
Excited for the next few years in regards to watching these guys grow.

Yeah, it is so weird the players who are selected higher in the draft are projected to be better. Bizarre stuff.

There is some clear better prospect bias going on here. Waste of time.

There is a clear better prospect than Zary at #2? Are we looking at the same prospect pool?

Yeah, we are on the 2nd player in the process. People have different ways of looking at things.

It was meant to be a joke. People are biased towards better prospects (who also tend to be higher draft picks).

Zary proved his mettle in his stint in the AHL, easy for me. Pelletier should be next imo.

What I mean is we always value the most recent prospect picked as the best when someone like Zary or Pelletier or even Wolf might be the best prospect. That's all I meant by it.

Pelletier is going to be a stud. He already plays with NHL habits.

With Coronato now having won the 2021 Prospect poll that is three of the Flames top draft picks in a sample of nine years. This is not something that happens "every year"; it is not something that "almost always" happens. It has happened THREE TIMES in the past decade.

Maybe i'll make myself even clearer. I was talking about this year. How Coronato is one, Zary is going to be 2 and Pelletier 3. Thought it was obvious but I guess i needed to spell it out.

It's been five years since he was drafted and he hasn't shown any real progression in his game. The only reason he's even still Flames property is because he hasn't graduated yet.

I think it's safe to leave him off.

No you did well.

Made a choice and didn't feel compelled to insult everyone that voted differently than you.

The top 4 are pretty set, with the only really question being Zary or Coronota. Curious what happens when we get to 5.
I picked Zary again. C with top 6 upside and whom has looked good when he has had opportunities at the higher levels. Really hoping he knocks it out of the park this season, we could use that sort of win.
