All the RFAs signed for exactly the amounts I was hoping and it came in at $81.12334M. #NoCap

I think there's potentially a spot for Ruzicka or Zary to make the squad

Lucic no longer has a full NMC (he still can’t be waived) but only has an 8 team trade list now. Feels like Pitt could be one of those 8 teams

Depending on who gets traded, I would look at trading a few others before Lucic.

Lucic cap is high but he provides on ice value. Unless the flames desperately need the cap space to sign young core players or upgrade the top line. I would not trade him. Well liked. Plays physical.

Yes but he is definitely available if someone wants him

I see no reason not to trade him

Apparently the asking price is high. Looking for top 6 forward money.

Everybody needs cap space, especially a team with several giant holes in the lineup

They are still over the cap even after dealing Reeves.

And...need to add a 7th dman and sign Nolan Patrick to boot.

Friedman just mentioned on Fan960 that CGY is interested in Ryan Murray, but Murray's health is holding things up with NHL teams.
Friedman says CGY is still around Eichel and interested. Its a big price.

Treliving has talked to Gaudreau about an extension.

 Treliving is trying really hard.

I like Murray, he's on my preferred list. He may not play a ton but he is good when he does.
This Eichel thing has to come to a head one way or the other.

It would make me feel better about the blue line if we brought in Murray.
 Hanifin - Tanev
 Murray - Andersson
 Valimaki - Zadorov

Before you tell me Zadorov is LH, remember that Treliving went out of his way to state that Zadorov had played the right side.
