Minnesota has been very quiet. I think they are saving space to acquire eichel.

Bob McKenzie mentioned that Calgary are one of the teams interested in Danault (among many other teams)

Okay, so we are going all put on middle six guys. Which we don't have much room for after coleman. Somethings coming trade wise.

Right? Bottom pairing defenceman too!

So far, we're literally just shuffling deck chairs again and spending all the cap space to do so.

Without a hockey trade there is really no other option. I am holding out hope for a deal

Me too.

If Tree brings this all home with Eichel, it's going to be awesome.

I was told the Flames had foundations of change ready for the offseason like the Flyers. Overpaying bottom pairing and bottom six forwards is not what I expected.

Coleman is potentially an actual impact player.

The term is too long but at $4.9M it's not that bad, poor mans Mark Stone.

Coleman is not a bottom-six player. The contract is too big, but he is a legitimately good player.

That means one or more of the top line players will be headed out of town if a big ticket in coming in. That means change in the makeup of the top end as people want.

There are, in all likelihood, shoes yet to drop in the top 6 group here.

If not, that will be surprising. And the team will get a lot of heat for it. But they will undoubtedly be taking their time with any big moves.

And Coleman will undoubtedly see time at the 2RW, I would say.
