Monahan would be a great fit in Montreal behind Suzuki.
I don’t want much from Montreal after 31 OA… Matthias Norlinder looks like he could be a guy, a skilled Swedish defenseman - one can never have too many of those around.
That seems like an underpay, so I’m sure we can get more from the Habs, but damned if I have any idea what that looks like.

After the expansion draft, Ryan Leslie tweeted out quotes from various members of the Flames about Gio. In Monahan's comments, he mentioned that he had been in the gym with Gio Wednesday morning.
Also, a few weeks ago, Lucic posted a video of his son playing around in the Flames' weight room and Monahan could be seen working out on the equipment beside them.

TBF the Looch video had Monahan doing arm work. And maybe the same with Gio. Dunno if his hips are ready for work yet.
IIRC though, the video said something about him being out of surgery, and that was a month ago.

Bean looked really good in Carolina last year IMO. It would be a win if a second round pick turned into a player like him.
