It’s a slight push but that’s harsh

I don't know, I think Doku is past him going around the corner, got obstructed. Again not really a role for VAR here, ref's call.

Pretty clear foul in the box, definitely a penalty. What an unnecessary foul to take though.

obviously there's contact, but is that push enough for a pen? Not for me. I get that VAR won't overturn that, since it's not a blatant error, but it doesn't sit well with me that this kind of contact warrants a pen.

it's a great game of football though and this adds to the fun, so who am I to complain.

Penalty or not Di Lorenzo got absolutely cooked there, Belgium should be looking to Doku more to take advantage of that ridiculous acceleration he has.

Just the obstruction alone is a foul, not necessarily a push or shove. A player shouldn't have to be pushed to the ground to win a penalty.

For what has seemed like a pretty one sided game for Italy, Belgium could easily be winning.

It's interesting to see an Italy game this open. This game should be like 3-3

Okay. Italy loves to dive. Or milk it. This milking in soccer annoys me so bloody much.

you can take Catenaccio out of Italy, but not the pathetic theatrics and time-wasting I guess.

We just need to start going through the phases because I think England has this. Absolute cakewalk for them while Italy and Spain will probably batter each other and end up with a few more injuries.

In fairness that was only the last ten minutes are so.
This is the most entertaining Italian team I've seen.

Belgium had a rough go in the knockouts. Portugal first and then Italy.

England has the opportunity of a lifetime. They probably mess it up right on cue

I’m not sure Spinazzola was milking it…I’m worried that was his Achilles based on how he reacted after the training staff came on

But yeah every nation is bad at milking injuries and wasting time when it’s a tight game and they are winning, not just Italy.

Big win for the Italians. Another tough match against Spain up next though.

yeah Spinazzola was clearly injured, but the others definitely milked it during the last ten minutes or so. Don't want to take away anything from them though, they're the most entertaining Italian team I've ever seen.

it's just time to make big changes and stop the clock every time the play is stopped. Just have 2 x 30 minute games, that's more than net playing time is right now and you kill all the shenanigans.

Belgium had had tough draws but this ha to be the end of Roberto Martinez. Just not good enough, hasn't gotten the best out of this generational team.
