Default The Police in concert

Anyone going to see to The Police in concert. I didn't see that they had a date in Calgary and I'm not sure why?

Did anyone see them on the Grammy's? They sounded pretty damn good.

I got a couple of presale tickets for the June 10th concert in Denver in the 3rd row. I probably paid too much, but I can always sell them for a profit on eBay if I have second thoughts.

Where is the closest concert for folks who live in Calgary? Anyone planning on going?

No concert in Calgary because the one in Edmonton is being held at commonwealth.

June 2 is the date, tickets went on sale this morning at 10am. Some tickets left.

I just poked around. There are all sorts of good seats left. I think they severely overestimated their current popularity if they thought they could come close to filling that stadium with those ticket prices. Those prices are insane.

Cool maybe that will increase the chance that you'll be able to get some tickets off people trying to unload that can't go closer to the date

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

I'm not sure. Pretty much where ever they are playing in the States sold out in hours and they have added several shows in many locations.

Maybe Edmonton was/is a bad idea instead of Calgary, where I think they would sell out the 'Dome for at least 2 straight shows.

commonwealth though likely fits more for a concert than Dome x 2??

No Calgary date = me no go.

Too bad. I would have probably enjoyed this one.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to settle for Roger Waters. (boo hoo )

They're running a very strange tour. They're playing places like Vancouver, Montreal, and Toronto (cities with large domed stadiums) with double shows in their arenas, but playing an outdoor show at Commonwealth. They're doing the same thing in the US too, with double shows in arenas, then outdoor stadium shows (one strange period has them playing two shows at MSG followed by one at Giants Stadium).

I wonder if the stadium shows will be different from the arena shows?

It looks like they're adding more shows in the late fall (so far only Toronto in November has been announced), so they might hit Calgary on that leg of the tour.

I think they did overstate their popularity...if this is what the police are going for what is U2 or McCartney going to ask for.
