But a bit of a disaster of a second half. Odd choices by Herdman by taking out Kaye and only having two midfielders out there. Made them really unbalanced and they couldn’t maintain any possession. Phonzie was floating around out there, I would’ve brought Buchanan on for him
But job done, they’ll address it. Huge win!! Do it again on Tuesday

I get where you are coming from because I didn't like that first sub, but haven't minded his tactics. I thought the back 5 he is playing lately with two wingbacks/wingers has been actually a good use of Davies and Laryea and gives the team a lot of flexibility against teams that pose a bit of a threat, but you want to be able to quickly switch to attack against. More than anything I like seeing him adjust to the opponent, nothing worse than a manager who plays the same formation every game regardless of circumstances. I will miss you at Palace Roy Hodgson but I am looking at you lol.
Herdman has definitely benefitted from centre-backs emerging at an absolutely ideal time though to be able to play his system for the last two games.
Henry is a nightmare with the ball, being able to plug in Kennedy and Johnston back there has been huge, those two have come almost out of nowhere it feels like and I feel like their importance can't be overstated. Two real good defenders who are ok with the ball.
I am way ahead of myself but if they can qualify, FIFA rules changed again and Tomori can switch next fall... if they can convince him to with promise of two world cups, all of a sudden the 11 is ridiculously good for a decade. Be nice if Ferreira can find a club too and start playing again for some insurance.
