When I see well dressed people with fitbits or apple watches on, it kills the look IMO; especially at formal events where you really don't need any smart watch features.
You spend all this time and money creating your individual style, then put on a watch that screams I'm one of the sheep.

Totally disagree.
It's 2021. Everyone has the time in their pocket.
No watch > watch that connects to your phone > analog watch
They might look nice, but they're one of the least practical things you could spend money on. Being fashionable means being fashionable today, few people can or should try to pull off what was fashionable 60 years ago.

What's the thought around wearing boots in the summer with chinos or jeans? Is it weird?

I assumed zhuzh meant to roll up, but when I looked it up... it means to improve one's clothing or outfit?
https://www.dictionary.com/e/word-of...zh-2020-08-19/
Now I'm curious whether there is more than just rolling up to improve the look of the sleeves.

I view a watch in a business outfit as purely an accessory like a bracelet. I feel it can elevate an outfit, but it is not something I would suggest to someone to tinker with if watches aren't your thing.
That being said, I kinda get where Windsor is coming from. The amount of people with a nice outfit wearing a jarringly mismatched looking activity tracker is common (especially mismatched color). Rather than suggesting getting a watch though, I would agree that no watch is perhaps a better look. But activity tracker/analog watch is on par with the major issue being wearing one that mismatches the outfit.
Many activity trackers have swappable straps etc. that can be swapped so the color matches the ensemble. Do that/wear a watch that matches the ensemble or leave your wrists bare.
But this isn't specific to watches/activity trackers. Any bracelet or necklace thing that is a color/style mismatch to your outfit, leave it off.

Well said. An apple watch with a nice leather strap that matches the fit is just as good as an analog watch, but some ugly fitness tracker is never a good option... and neither is an ugly watch.
The best choice, imo, is always neither.

But a Chelsea boot, chukka, prison boot, etc are all great in the summer.

Great! I'll wear my boots today then.

Watches are one of the only pieces of flair a guy can wear. A great looking watch, at any price point, absolutely adds value to the outfit. Sure, we all haves phones in our pocket. But instead of reaching into your suit, or your jeans, and lighting up your face with the lock screen, you can subtly look down at your wrist and know what time it is. When you are in a dark theatre, it is much more convenient and respectable to look at your wrist as opposed to lighting up your seat with your iPhone screen.
A watch may be unpractical, but so are ties, pocket squares, and belts (in some cases). How can only a few people pull off a watch, which was fashionable 60 years ago?
A fitbit, Ironman, calculator, or Apple style watch does not go with a suit in the same way that a ball cap or New Balance sneakers don't go with a suit. Those are two different styles. Similarly a Rolex looks pretty dumb when you are on a bike ride.

I would probably only wear a chukka boot in the summer. Anything else would be too hot.

I'm not going to wear either, but as my style becomes more relaxed, I am drawn to crazier and crazier prints.

Roll them up, but make them just a tad sloppy - that is to say, don't fold them over at the cuff then proceed to do exactly 4 folds per arm so they match, you want them close to each other, just past your elbow, but a little imbalance between the sleeves is key. A little more ruffle on one arm. For comfort i roll up my left arm a bit more, but that's because I never not have a watch on.
A touch of humanity's imperfection, purposely exposed.

Crazy prints are one thing (though I think the first one is just ugly), but that second one with the apparently deliberate failure to pattern match I just don't understand. It makes me anxious just looking at it. This is a pretty weird, 1920's furniture print too, but it's done meticulously and well.

Although I haven't worn a suit or suit coat in maybe 7 years, you can definitely pair the right ball cap and sneakers (not new balance) with the right cut suit.

The right sneakers, yes. Ball cap, no.

Yes, but I am sitting on the couch wearing this very shirt and a pair of fatigues and it's great.

I would never wear sneakers with a suit unless it was an extremely casual suit - something in linen most likely, although I do have a brown corduroy suit that I wear with sneakers sometimes, but it admittedly does look insane.
