MacKinnon reopens the best player debate.

MacKinnon once again proving why he's the best player in the league.

Man, the Avs are gonna be a handful in these playoffs. That team is scary good.

He'd hurt the Leafs and he'd hurt the Flames if he came here, but he ain't hurting the Avs. They just carry on the brutal destruction of their opponents like nothing happened.

You just have to love this Avs team. Big, fast and skilled. Almost opposite the Flames Small, slow and .... not so skilled.

Landeskog is looking like prime Iginla and he's not even their best player.

Lightning or Bs might be the only teams in the east that could keep up with them.

Ryan O'Reilly is -7 thru 2 games in this series. I guess Backlund didn't do too bad against the Avs 2 years ago. MacKinnon is a beast in the playoffs, fun to watch for sure.

That Kadri hit is ugly. Probably suspended for the rest of round 1 if I had to guess. That said, it doesn't look intentional. Stupid, but accidental.

Should be 4 games based on the playoff factor the league uses. Take one game of for the match penalty and he gets 3 games.

The Bennett hit was 100 times more reckless and stupid than Kadri's.

History has shown he can’t stop himself from hitting players up high. Just keeps doing it, doesn’t learn. Should get at least 3 or 4 games but knowing the NHL it will be 1 game or a fine.

Wait what? He was looking for the big hit and was looking at his head the entire time. He’s been suspended 5 times already for illegal hits. He knew what he was doing, and where he was hitting him. He just doesn’t care.

So a $5000 fine then?

Sadly it's only when you watch a team like Denver or Florida/Tampa do you realise how far away the flames are from being able to play the type of hockey required to win Lord Stanley. They are not remotely close and tinkering around with one player being moved just is not going to get it done.

Imagine the hype if Mackinnon played in Canada.... Unlike a few other 'offense only' players that the Canadian media gushes over, Mackinnon hits hard, fights, scores and plays D. Dominant. Man I hated when the flames had to play him that one year...
