They have fast personnel but Coach Q also has them playing a system that creates a lot of controlled zone entries off neutral zone takeaways.

For whatever reason the Flames management up and down insist there is a prerequisite to grind it out instead of speed first. It’s an augment for another thread but having seen some of the more competitive teams you really have to have speed first.

Coleman deserves it.
This type of stuff matters in the long run, even if it does suck in the moment. That’s team building stuff. Bennett standing up for Barkov is more important than this goal against.

If it were up to me the top 2 assets I'd be looking for as a GM moving forward would be compete and speed.
