Not excited about Jiri having pick 6 while I have 7. Odds are really high he is going to take my guy. Might as well fire my scouting division since it won't matrer. Its happened before where Jiri just keeps taking my guys.

Tough to trade Mayfield. We wanted him to be part of our next year's team but 2 2nds is close enough to what we paid to get some futures

As an aside is this not the least exciting description of the likely #1 overall pick ever?

Ducks cleared out a bunch of cap the last 4 trades and didn't want to sit on that money for a number of months until UFA...might as well do something with it.
