Flames 1 - Oilers 4
Flames put another nail in the coffin in their playoff chances, but it's inevitable. Just need to wait until they are officially eliminated.
Monahan and Backlund are the primary whipping boys of the Flames right now. Flames have only one good centre. Too many issues with the franchise.
This is such a dislikable team.

Flames looked slow and stupid to start.
After that they just looked slow.
They need to find players who can think fast. This team just doesn't have that and hasn't for years. WAY too slow on the PPs they had and with the 6 on 5.
Oh well....just another dismal season in the dust now.

Yup, it's time to start looking ahead and planning for next season. Treliving has his work cut out for him, that's for sure. I wouldn't want to be in his shoes this summer. This team needs a major overhaul...particularly the forward group.

Pretty sad effort. Lindholm looked good and so did Mangiapane. Other than that not much out of anyone up front. Tkachuk and Gaudreau looked great on the goal but the rest of the game not so much. Weaker than usual out of Lucic, and the usual hitters like Nordstrom and Ritchie were not throwing their weight around much.
I thought the D was pretty good though, especially Stone and Rasmus had one of his better games in a long time.
