The Cleveland area just isnt a good place for off-season NFLers apparently.

Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Justin Layne was arrested Friday morning.
Layne was arrested on suspicion of felony transportation of a firearm inside of a vehicle, according to jail records in Lake County, Ohio. He was also charged with two misdemeanors -- driving with a suspended license and exceeding speed limits. Layne was booked just after 3 a.m. Friday. He is currently awaiting a preliminary court hearing.
The Browns must now decide whether or not to extend the contracts of both players this offseason. Both players are eligible to receive multi-year extensions on their rookie deals for the first time.
According to spotrac.com, Mayfield’s market on an extension is a four-year deal worth $141,063,672 million, or about $35.265 million a year.
Ward’s market value is a four-year deal worth $74.255 million for an average of $18.563 million.
Have we not learned yet that the cap isn't actually real? What matters is cash. If you have the cash you can convert salaries into bonuses and spread the cap hits for infinity. You can do contracts like Taysom Hill's "4 year, $140 million deal" to help spread fake cap hits into infinity. And as long as the cap keeps going up then teams can play all sorts of games to make it work. With a creative GM and an owner with good cash flow you can basically stay cap compliant forever even when it seems impossible.

Mike Davis, who had a nine-year NFL career, has died, the Raiders announced Sunday. He was 65.
“The Raiders Family is deeply saddened by the passing of Mike Davis,” the team said in a statement. “Mike made one of the most famous plays in franchise history, the ‘Red Right 88′ interception to clinch the 1980 AFC Divisional playoff game in Cleveland. The win secured a place in the AFC Championship Game for the Raiders, who would then go on to win Super Bowl XV.
that's a great deal for KC if they can get a long term extension done. Brown is a really good tackle, whatever side you ask him to play.
I think it's a really good trade for both teams. It's exceptional asset management by the Ravens who have turned a third round pick into a pretty nice haul before they have to pay him. For the Chiefs it does get them a guy who if he can remain healthy will be covering the blind side for their most valuable asset for the next 10 years. They don't have to pay him top money yet, and if he's as good as they think they'll find a way to keep him. Hill and Kelce are not getting any younger so this current group only has 2-3 years left until it's time to turn over the skill position guys.

I quite like that for Denver. Not because I think Teddy answers anything, but it opens up more options for them on draft night and doesn't really cost much.

Wonder if Denver moves back now? They can probably still get a solid player going a few spots back and picking up another pick in the 2nd/3rd in either this year or a different draft. They need a lot of help everywhere.
Teddy at one year 4.5 mil he’s a backup. Hopefully a real QB is drafted to replace useless lock. Interesting take that they need a lot of help everywhere? Some future help at CB and another RB. Of course what they really need is a QB. Jeff Driskel wasn’t going to be the backup again this year. Was hoping for Minshew but Teddy B will work short term.

I imagine he will be starting for Broncos as he's not spectacular but he's steady and can dink and dunk down the field. He wasn't terrible last season but it's interesting that Matt Rhule felt that one year of him was enough as they were pretty well turning over every stone to find a replacement as it's like they decided that they didn't want Teddy back at any cost which was a trade for the very mediocre Sam Darnold.
