Okay, it looks like the greatest accomplishment of this group will be two playoff appearances in a row.
It’s time to focus on getting the best possible draft pick.

The mental fragility strikes again. Flames couldn't connect 2 passes in a row in the 3rd.
How many times did Gaudreau have it in his spot on the half wall and just fumble the puck, either while receive the pass, stickhandling the puck, or when trying to make the simple pass back to the point. Mangi loses the puck on every rush as he tries to go 1 on 3 because nobody else has joined him. Tkachuk and Monahan MIA.

Has anyone filed a missing persons report for Matthew Tkachuk yet? I fear for his safety.

Man..
What was that third period? After 8 good ones. They choose THEN to go fall back on their heels and stop playing as a group.
I think that whimper of a period summed up the last 7 years quite well.
It feels like they are building up to something and then they don't.

Gaudreau played with some fire I thought but then in the third, he handled the puck like a grenade.
Speculation on my part, but I imagine Tkachuk asks for a trade in the offseason. He doesn't want to go to battle with these guys anymore and the leaders on the team, like Lucic, Backlund and Gio can't seem to fix it.

I’m most disappointed in Tkachuk this season. He completely disappeared down the stretch, actually hurt the team for the most part

I have no idea how you don't hold Gaudreau in the same tier you just mentioned. He was so so bad in the 3rd.

I have to commend the teams effort the last 8 games. But today they showed us why changes are coming swift this off-season. That 3rd period was an embarrassment. Couldn’t make passes. The core of this team is unable to produce in big games. I think we see Seattle take Gio possibly with us sending a pick to make it happen. We will see a complete leadership change within this group. I’m a fan of Tkachuk but I wonder if the team might try to sell semi high on him as I think his skating is catching up to him. I’m concerned he could fizzle out the rest of his career.

Sums out Giordano quite well. Panics when it gets difficult.

That was hard to watch.
We saw a lot of things come to a head there. If we had an elite player, they would have taken three shots by themselves during that time.

He is on on almost every goal the team scores

That 3rd period was one of their weakest all season. No urgency, sloppy, disorganized.
Give credit to Montreal, they played a good defensive game and their top scorer cashed in on his chance. Didn’t have to do much more.

There is literally no such thing as this "focus".

I let my 6 year old put Izzy's Koala World on with 3 minutes left. I think it's a bit more entertaining than the Flames were in the third. What an absolute egg.

The game was decided by a 5-on-3 PP.
Not overly shocking that it came down to that in a playoff type game.
Absolute crap.

Can I ask why are you a fan of Tkachuk?
He’s turned into a terrible liability.
However he may still be an asset to other GMs so here’s hoping Tre pulls off a blockbuster.
Too bad we didn’t deal him and others for DuBois.
