He kind of sounds like an ideal penalty killer based on what I've read. He's fast and agile. He's aggressive and tenacious. He has some skill.
The best thing is that he seems to be improving all the time.

He's been compared to Tkachuk, Silfverberg, and Hyman. Good skater, non-stop motor, physical, agitating, good 200ft player. Scorpion's numbers above show that he's got good offense, when he's put in the position to unleash it.

It sure looks like he was a big riser this year.

He was pretty off the radar going into his draft year, but he caught an opportunity, and his numbers exploded, which led to him being selected as high as he was. As Scorp pointed out, his goals per game in the SuperElit for a draft-eligible player were the highest since Anze Kopitar. (Hope I got that right)

This year, he got promoted to the top line due to injury in the SEL, and had almost a ppg, in the 7 or 8 games he was playing there. (hope I got that right too)

Yeah, that's basically all spot-on. He spent the whole year, save for one game, in the SHL but only started to get big minutes late in the season and was actually promoted onto the team's top line with former Flames centre Marek Hrivik.

That's funny. That's the exact description I used for Heineman while talking about the trade deadline with someone an hour ago. I think we're going to like this kid.

Posted in this in the Sam thread but I went back and checked the preview mags. THN and Forecaster both had him 7th on the Panthers list prior to the season.

Adding to what Jiri said — McKeen's had Heineman 12th on Florida's list and 267th on its Top 300 NHL prospects list, both published prior to the season.
For context, here are the Calgary prospects on that Top 300 list:

 48 - Valimaki
 62 - Zary
 69 - Pelletier
 179 - Wolf
 208 - Poirier
 272 - Zavgorodniy

Hey Scorp, with your media powers can you try and contact this kid to see his reaction to being traded to the Flames?

Haven't spoken to Heineman but I put out an article about him this morning:https://flamesnation.ca/2021/04/14/e...to-the-flames/

I had never heard of Emil before the trade. I spoke with an NHL exec in charge of scouting today and asked if he knew of Heineman, and if so, what he thought.
His response:

I have to ask, how do you know an NHL exec?
