Uh no he didn't, verbatim "Great work by Tavares, get's away from Monahan". An even better try.

Man, I hated getting snowed more than anything.

Ever look at the snow you wipe off your skates? Try throwing it in your eye once.

I’d rather get bowled over so I can take a shot back without getting a penalty.

The exact quote by Hurdey after that comment about Tavares was "Sean Monahan, who I thought did a pretty good job defensively". That was his verbatim thoughts on Monahan's defensive effort. Monahan's defensive effort is different from Tavares effort.

I don't know what to tell you I just rewound and watched again and typed one element of what I heard. It was a pity he didn't stop him wasn't it?

I only caught the last bit of the 1st, seems like the flames were on the defensive.

Hopefully they can turn it on in the second

Funny I did the same thing and that was exactly what Hrudey said, seconds before Lucic fought. Hope that helps.

Yes, it is too bad that the Leafa scores. The funny thing about hockey is that sometimes two players can both play well on a play, it is not a mutually exclusive situation all the time.

There were like 4 Leafs who had the puck and got away from their guy. You decided to criticize the guy who covered Tavares, who managed to connect on a short pass to a D. But not the guy who passed to Tavares, not the guy covering the D who he passed to who made the point shot, and not the guy covering the guy who scored the goal. It’s a pity none of those guys happened to stop a pass. But let’s criticize Monahan out of everyone.
