Lucic has had a couple - not monsters though. Monahan just put someone down and had a decent one on Nylander earlier.

I think this has been the worst season I have ever watched. Definitely top 2 for sure.

Bennett can also hit big when he’s in the mood. Not so much this season

I think you could make an argument that he was the best player drafted between 1992 and 2004 or so. A weak “generation”

Definitely franchise player and a HOFer.

Flames dominated that period. Some bad puck luck and a few good saves on the power play.

Nope. Need to make more than one First All Star team.

But he was all world in 2006 and a no brainer first ballot HHOFer and one of the very best of his generation.

At least Leaf fans are not at the Dome to cheer on one of the most inept franchises in pro sports.

Flames have carried the play most of the game

Offence just doesn't come easy. Pretty silly to complain about the effort.

They are plying like they have zero skill. Speed shooting passing does now exist

Loubo isn't out, he's just working from home due to a potential covid scare. He's been doing colour, just missed talking about the 2-2 goal so Pat did it.

Overall not a bad period. Getting chances and carried the play for a bit.

Oh, there is no question Thornton is a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer. I an inclined to call him a "generational" player as well—He will finish his career #6 or #7 all-time in assists, and most likely #12 in points. It is a pretty exclusive club up there.

This cannot be real. Thornton was only once a First Team All Star?!

Wow.

Yeah you are really watching a different game there. Stripping pucks??? Where?? All I see are turnovers and zero effort forchecking. Board work?? Lol not happening.

Where as Monahan, while still struggling is at least for he king, hitting, grinding. Moving the puck.

This stange biased narrative is really weird to me. Johnny is literally not doing anything to make his team better. In fact to me, he is waiting for other players to do the dirty work and make him better.

If Monahan and Gaudreau fly as the other flies, they both crashing into the earth like an asteroid.

I swear to God the "poor johnmy" folk have lost their minds.
