Nah. I'm not gonna write off an elite, two-time Cup winning coach based on a 9 game sample size with this garbage roster. It ain't Sutter. I think it's pretty clear at this point that this is 100% on the players.

The players are completely defeated. Their spirits are broken. They are working hard, but have no confidence and can't execute basic hockey plays.

The sale should begin tomorrow. Treliving should be kicking off those "selling" trade negotiations if he hasn't already.

I for one welcome this collapse. It is the disgusting medicine this team has to stomach in order to get better.

He's forcing them to play properly, which is painful right now. But unlike previous years Gaudreau has to earn his minutes. If he won't put the effort in the 4th line is more than willing to.

This is all about breaking bad habits. Gaudreau is on pace for about 16 minutes, and I doubt we see him play big minutes in the third unless he starts trying.
