Falcons gotta be pretty pissed, surely they were going to take Fields and let him sit a year before trading Ryan. I think the 49ers will do the same, play Jimmy G this year and hope he props up his trade value while Fields learns.

I feel like the 49ers are gonna go off the board and get Zach Wilson. They definitely have a guy in mind and know he wouldn’t go past top 5
Definitely a homer pick by me though as a BYU guy!

General consensus is Wilson is gone at 2. Making this trade and staying at 3 likely means they are in love with Fields or Lance IMO. Unless there’s some crazy galaxy brain thinking and they want to trade for Darnold on the cheap and use 3 to take the Oregon lineman or another non QB they’re enamoured with.

It’s not so much us guys as it’s every draft prognosticator and ranking that exists. Sure we should allow for the possibility that they’re all wrong but every indication is Wilson goes 2 to the Jets.
This also gives the dolphins ungodly ammunition if they decide to go after Watson. No one can come close to the package they would offer.

I think at this point Fields is being undervalued a bit. This breakdown shows he's probably the best non-Trevor prospect in the draft. The OSU QB stink is really what's driving his value down.

I thought the Dolphins would have stayed right where they are and gotten some protection for Tua with Sewell.
Pretty much means Fields at 3.

One thing this trade has me wondering is could we see four or even five straight QBs to start the draft? QB desperation is off the charts now, Falcons and Bengals gotta be thinking they can pick up two or three premium picks to move down. Falcons could also stay and draft Lance. Either way the rookie cap has sure changed everything in the NFL.
