This 4 game segment was the key to Calgary’s season in my view.

We needed to win 3 games to gain 4 points on at least one of the teams we are chasing down.

Now we have 4 wins in sight.

IMO, it’s huge that Calgary has won 3 straight, but it’s even more meaningful that they were the clear cut better team in each of those games.

Happy 32nd Birthday to Mikael Backlund today.

So that's an obvious 3-2 win for the good guys. Or McDavid goes -32 on the night in a historic blowout. I'm good either way.

What happened to Stalock? He still hurt? Scared? Missing?

Of course he is, have you seen how good he is at playing the puck?

Ugly jersey game. Flames will be using the old homes and Oilers will wear their regular ugly away jersey.

It’s always ugly jersey day for Edmonton

Edmonton's #1 goaltender is their ShooterTutor, but with the anti-Oiler bias that the NHL has, they're forced to play Smith and Koskinen. Not sure they have a clear "favorite" between the two of them.

The boys have to give 'em the St Patrick's Day special: keep hitting McPestilent until he pukes all over himself.

Scorp - your record for Calgary in the OP is missing an OTL. They are only 5 points behind Oilers.

So after tonight, Flames could be 3,4,6 or 7 points back. I realize I'm stating the obvious, but a pretty big game insofar as catching them. Still four games vs. Oilers left after this, but would be nice to not have to play catch up the rest of the season.

It’s probably a superstitious thing now I’m guessing
