Late to the fighting debate but if you ban fighting you have to enforce the rules. Everything has to get called.
In football every shot to the QB is a 15 yard penalty. If not, then the defense will keep hitting the QB and eventually fights would break out or revenge on the other QB.
If Khaira makes a dirty hit and there no penalty and you can't fight him, then what?

One thing I've noticed about McDavid is he seems vulnerable to pick-pocket stick lifts from behind.
Probably he's just not used to people being able to keep up with him, but I wonder if it's something the Flames could look to exploit (especially since the guy is hard to stop by other means).
Lucic and Ritchie have been the flames spirit animal lately.
I was not at all thrilled to get lucic even though e managed to dump Neal. Lately though I think he is a huge positive on the roster. Quite the turnaround.
This is the first Flames-Oilers game that I’ve been able to watch this year. I thought you were exaggerating, but Sportsnet should be embarrassed. What a bunch of Oiler fan-boys! What’s going on?
Imagine if our top line actually showed up? We would be a force and winning comfortably.
Monahan was great last game. It's only been 3 games with Sutter behind the bench, and it's not gonna happen overnight. Don't worry, the top line will get better.

Hey! Brett Ritchie has been great tonight. Excellent $700K value.
He makes his presence known even if the offense isn't there. It's more than his linemates do when they're not scoring. They haven't hurt us thankfully, but we need so much more from Monahan and Gaudreau.
Edit: And just to be clear, yes they have some good games, but they need to do more little things on "off nights".

Yeah, cause he’s not that great.
This clip sums up my entire opinion on McDavid. He’s first half of the movie Lightning McQueen.
