Call me crazy but I still like Brad.

The coaching BS is on the owners cheeping out on that front IMO.

Aside from Brouwer, Neal and Hamonic I’ve liked his body of work.

I like BT as the GM. I realize many don't. And that's valid.
I would still move forward with him.
I'm also not really keen to argue with a bunch of people about it. I've stated my reasons in the past and those still hold for me.
But I get why others want to move him out.
And if you are going to change him make damn sure it's an upgrade and not a promotion from within the current management team.

I think you may be right and to be clear that wasn’t a shot at Lucic it was more just strange to hear a player pop on the radio and talk about how “we need to care more”

...okay........ then do it? What?

Agree 100%

Has to be someone with no strong ties to anyone on the ice.

Ya, I have no desire to see Brad make another decision for this team. I would prefer a psychic making moves based on a seance with Sam Pollack than have Brad make a hockey move.

The Flames in a nutshell...

There are moments where you think they're good, but then they reveal who they really are.

No player for player deal is going to save this season - and could just do more long-term damage.
Sadly this is a hard year to move out pieces for futures, and even if we did go down that path their value has been absolutely cratered by how the team has played.

I imagine Markstrom is absolutely kicking himself for hitching his wagon to this group for six years.

It says something about the leadership of this group that Milan Lucic is the one speaking up.

Where’s Backlund? Where’s Monahan? Where’s Giordano?

This leadership group, this coach, this management - it’s all garbage.

If you do a big player trade it’s to send a message to this complacent core. ID a slacker (but a big name) and punt them. I think if you change the coach you should also trade at least one guy.

Without tampering can someone give Torts a call and see if he would be interested in getting involved with the Process (TM)?

If there was some kind of progression from the last game to this game, but we still lost, I could enjoy the game.
If the effort was there but we just got beat by a red hot goalie, I could enjoy the game.
If the effort was there, but we just didn't have the talent, I could at least enjoy the game.
If we had a super young team with a bright future, but we weren't quite there yet, I could enjoy the game.

However, the facts are:
There is seemingly no progression or building on previous good efforts.
We chased Murray last game, and he was beatable tonight. The effort was basically non-existent after the second goal, yet we, on paper, have the talent to at least push for a playoff spot.
We don't have a particularly young team, and we don't have much of a future with young up-and-coming players.

Yikes. I was stuck at work earlier, so I’m glad I missed this one. Hopefully big changes are made soon. I don’t think I can stomach any more of this current roster and coaching staff. This team needs a major shake-up,

Much more optimistic that this can be salvaged. 6 points back of the second place Oilers. The Oilers. Equal in games played, 33 to go. Markstrom, when back and heathy, can make up that difference on his own.

But something has to change. This team has no trust left in the coach.
