The Flames had a couple really dominating shifts where they pinned the Sens in their own end. Got an offensive zone faceoff and we went out witj the fourth line.

It really is like Ward just can't understand what"s happening in front of him in real time. Had our foot on their throat and we let them off.

Period got better so hopefully they just build on that. Be good at both blue lines.

Do you disagree?
No, I agree with that. What I disagree with is the following.

Quote:
They are very well aware of what the opposition does.
This team is never prepared for what the opposition is about to throw at them. It is amazing how many times these guys come out and looked shocked that the opposition was prepared to shutdown the breakout or was completely ready for the bump back on the PP, while at the same time being completely unaware of the tendencies the other team is going to employ in their offensive structure or attack. That's on the coaching. These guys have these tendencies, here's how to defend against them or take advantage of them. Seems the other team is well schooled in how to defeat the Flames' tendencies and take advantage of them. Might be their coaches have a clue what they are doing?

I think the most maddening part of this season has been how they play like wimpy shrimps whenever the goalies begin to stand on their heads.

You think that #### would inspire them to put on their work boots and try to get the guy the W.

I'll never understand being content to stand and watch your goalie put on a show to give you a chance.

Dube looked like he had found his jump last game so I think he's going to have a nice run of good play. They need to get it deep and get it back and his line can be really key.

Leivo is so past due to score. He's the only Flame with multiple scoring chances tonight. When that dam breaks... I think there might be a flood.

It’s a successful style for this team, especially against this defence.

It's like he wants to roll 4 lines in order to realize he really only has 2.5 lines at his disposal.

Not sure where that comment comes from. Only Backlund and Tkachuk have fired the puck toward the opposing net this season more frequently than Leivo.

Well Leivo isn’t very good whereas the other two are good so there’s that.

Inconsistent execution has been the calling card for these players now since Gulutzan, carrying over to Peters and now Ward. Do you feel that the Flames have just had a run of multiple coaches who don't believe in starting games strong or playing consistently?

If this take is based on production, it's been there. He scored 17 goals and 37 points in 85 games with the Canucks.

He's a good player who isn't getting any bounces at all.

First 10 minutes were barf

2nd ten minutes were better. Still not generating enough dangerous looks though. Even the high slot chances for monahan were not too dangerous since it was short passes.

Colin White would look good in a Flames jersey though, I remember the sens seemed eager to move him a little while back.

This debate seems endless.

It's entirely possible this coach does a poor job of providing this team with a game plan to start that is tailored to their strengths as players.

And it seems rather evident these players have a hard time being effective at the drop of the puck.

And so here we are.

Having trouble recalling any of these many chances.
