So Lafreniere has 1 goal and zero assists in 14 games. Have to think David Quinn is getting fired pretty soon.

As an aside, who is looking like the early front runners for the Calder? I'm not paying much attention outside of the North Division.

Kaprizov from the Wild has probably been the most effective forward thus far. It does seem that a lot of rookies are off to slower starts this year.

Feel like lots of coaches are in the hot seat now 15-20 games in. Still enough time to make a change behind the bench to get a team going.

Interesting to note next to Ty Smith, NJD. Valimaki is tied for 2nd among rookie defenders for points.

Kaprizov, Pius Suter, Kevin Lankinen, Ty Smith.
I think Kaprizov is the frontrunner, he's leads in point per game by a fair amount.

Chicago deserves some credit. They might have 3 or 4 players who are top 10 in Calder votes.

The Kings lead 2-0 midway through the second period. Quick has been playing well in net.

Probably won't get many votes but I continue to be impressed with Hoglander every game. Just works his butt off each shift and rarely loses a puck battle. Of course I watch him more then any other rookie

Not going to lie, completely surprised to see Chicago with 20 points when I looked at the standings.

25 years ago when I began my Mens league career our team had White Avalanche jerseys and I had blue pants from playing minor hockey in Kamloops. It looked odd than. Still does.
