That would be an interesting attempt.

I just don't like the idea of moving Lindholm back to the wing. Him developing as our top centre is the internal solution for our biggest need we've needed for years.

We finally may have that true #1 centre for the first time in decades and everyone is saying move him back to the wing?? |

RW for who, though? If with Lindholm it’s weird because Lindholm is a RHS and Monahan is LHS.

I think Monahan is playing pretty well tonight, especially along the boards.

Maybe I’m blinded by my fandom, but it REALLY feels like every other teams broadcast focuses on that team, while the Flames broadcasts spend as much energy as possible gushing over the opponents.

The Lucic-Bennett-Dube line is dominating the expected goal share through two periods.
 Bennett—94.58%
 Lucic—94.37%
 Dube—79.03%

Next-best for the Flames (and in the whole game)?

 Connor Mackey (71.49%).

Maybe it's time to look at Monahan on the wing?
 Tkachuk-Lindholm-Mangiapane
 Gaudreau-Backlund-Monahan
 Lucic-Bennett-Dube

I'm aware that line sucked with Backlund on wing but maybe it's different this way because Backlund is the better C.

Yeah definitely one of my bones to pick with Ward. I get trying it, and it's not like Lindholm is a terrible option but I think moving him to RW on that top line solves a few issues, namely giving Johnny and Sean a legit RW that they've already had chemistry with. Worst case is that you have another center get hurt and move Lindholm back to center again. That Gaudreau line has just seemed a bit 'off' all season. And it's not like Tkachuk is thriving with Lindholm, he's looked pretty terrible to me.

LINDHOLM IS A CENTER (ask him)
he wasn't moved to center, he was moved to wing and now back in his natural position

For some reason I keep getting the canuck feed and their intermission segments are 100% canuck related.

Shorthouse is good and you can tell that he gets annoyed by most of what comes out of Garrets mouth. Garret is very much a fan boy.

Someone said it earlier, but Lindholm needs a letter on his jersey. There's no doubt he's a big influence on this team and if anyone can lead by example, it's Elias.

Loved seeing him giving Edler the business last game after that elbow. I wish we could clone Lindholm.

The Flames really need more production from Matthew Tkachuk. I'm a little surprised that he isn't taking more heat so far this season.

I get it. But if, and it's a big if, Bennett can solidify that 3rd line you have Monahan, Lindholm and Backlund as centers, would force one of them to the wing. Lindholm can play anywhere and look good. And playing him on the top line has worked before, thus I think the lineup I posted earlier works best for everyone. Not trying to force Lindholm to the wing, I think it's the better fit for the team. IF Bennett's line can continue to look good.

Man, that Canucks power play is the very definition of trying to be too fancy.
