I actually like our 4th line Froese > Ryan for bringing in some physicality and being able to win board battles
Nordstrom and leivo
They played well together tonight. Keep it up!
Just want to put in a word of caution. Froese had a good game but he has 17 career points and hasn't been in the league in three years.
Ryan's past four seasons have seen him score 29 (in 69 games), 38, 38, and 29 (in 67).
There's a much more substantial body of work showing Ryan as being a very effective third-line centre. Froese probably isn't a consistent NHLer. Things can obviously change—just look at Ryan as an example—but I'm not optimistic.

As an aside, I was prepping highlights from Sunday's game and tried to fix the SNET scoreclock for when the Flames wear the blasty jerseys since they default to the white C on red background which looks weird to me.
I'm pretty sure I'm the only one that cares about this stuff but oh well.
I’ll be the first to call out refs for bad calls on our opponents but that high stick was about as blatant as they get. Call out your players for being careless before you call out the refs.
It’s one of the few penalties a ref will call at the end of the day and they did it.
Great game, great intensity, great effort, really strong defensive play that carried over from the last two periods against the Oilers. I do really am liking the little things that SM is doing without the puck. He looks like he's done a major buy in.

People may look back and realize that sitting Bennett for a game or two should have been done a lot earlier in his career.
Man, I hope he turns out to be a player.

The Jets weren't scoring in the last 10-12 minutes of the game. I haven't felt that confident all year.

From HFBoard oiler fan, in analyzing MacT's management:
O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.
