I hope he doesn't get yet another opportunity on another team.
However, it is a kind of opportunity for some teams to get out of their bad contracts. If a GM is desperate enough - like Edmonton - then they can trade Neal for DeAngelo, and go in front of the media saying that they will work with him and monitor him, insisting that people like him just need some stability and guidance that a strong core and locker room can give him. A month later, suddenly that team can just void his contract for disciplinary reasons and presto! - no more terrible contract.
Whomever trades for him I will boo incessantly forever. Some people make a mistake in life, and deserve a second chance. You can argue that he has gotten more than his fair share of chances - more chances than anyone less talented than him would receive. I think his time is up in the NHL, and good riddance.

That's very interesting considering he potted 2 goals the other night. hmmmmmmmmmm.
As if we needed any more of a reason to hate the Oilers then them acquiring DeAngelo....
I'm for it though. Add some more poison to that locker room.

As soon as I saw the headline just now on TSN that he is generating a lot of trade interest right now when the story yesterday was that he had been offered up since early in the year with no takers, something is up. It just reeks of the typical Kevin Lowe spin via the players agent to build up the false demand and thus justification for Lowe to say that the Oilers beat out 5 teams for them when they beat out no one.
Sorry, the Score, but it is known Oilers Schill Dreger with the speculation that he will be traded in the next day or so.

Guy dms him pretends he’s in with the Canucks and that he’s going to be traded there. Tony texts his agent about it and posts the screenshot. Too funny

this has got to be an elaborate troll. Why would he share a screenshot of his texts with his agent?

But Neal in general yup nobody is touching that contract.

Since the Rangers can easily simply buy out DeAngelo with little cap hit ($800,000 over two years), they won’t take back an unwanted contract to move him.

I just don't see it happening.

I wasn't being serious with Skinner. I don't see that there are plenty of contracts that make any sense for the Rangers or the other team.

Oddly enough, I know someone who worked for Rich Winter, now with another agency. They do text players like this.
That being said, Brisson himself is probably a bit too upper crust to text Tony something like "go to bed".

It would be sad but hilarious if true, but I have a hard time believing whoever is behind that account (his dad?) would post a screenshot of a text conversation where the agent tell him to get the **** off twitter and go to bed (lol). He couldn't be THAT stupid... could he?

When I read the Twitter thread I was under the impression that it was entirely parody
In fact no offense but you gotta be pretty gullible to believe it haha. That was the first text he had EVER sent to his agent?
