Always hate playing in Montreal as the zebras are pretty much in the bag. Uphill battle for sure. I hope they pull this out but not feeling a warm and fuzzy about this.

A desperate flames team should win. Then they'll come out with a complete no show of a period or two next game.
Lose tonight and Calgary will be in dire position (just as the canucks were last week, and the oilers the week before).
It's going to be a very long and annoying season that way.

Rittich does need to play and get into some games here that matter. I don't hate it, I see why they are doing it, likely to have Markstrom in Saturday and Monday night then Big Save Dave on Tuesday in the back to back.
BSD isn't a rookie, he is a pro and will bring his best game, he has to show that he can still play if he wants to help this team and honestly, watching him the last few years he wants to win and help this team. I'm not worried about him starting tonight. I am more worried about our forward group, gotta get some stuff going 5v5.
Will JG continue with his good play? I really hope so, he looked like he didn't care the first few games but he has looked better the last couple.
This is a tight one, 3-2 win for the Flames in OT. Mony, Eat Bread and Jusso score tonight. BSD has a good game too!

Hopefully the Flames just play a full 60 minutes tonight. Habs seem to be a fairly hard-working team, and their transition game is looking pretty quick. Hopefully Calgary can get those pucks turned-over in the neutral zone or just stuff them in the defensive blueline, and get a quick counter-attack.
Gaudreau and Monahan are playing well right now. I hope that they just keep it going.
Nice to see Rittich in net. I thought Ward would have Markstrom start tonight just as a bit of redemption for him, as he didn't have a great start last outing against the Leafs. He wasn't bad, just wasn't great. Hopefully the extra day's rest is better for him than trying to play through tonight. Rittich is as competent as any goalie in the league, and I do think that with fine-tuning, he can be a legitimately awesome starter. He has let in stinkers for sure, but his high-reflex athletic saves that we have seen him make speak at his ability level. Those stinkers I think are a lapse in concentration or positioning, so hopefully he can get that worked out. I would love to have a goaltender controversy in Calgary in having both guys playing amazing.
Flames were the first visiting team to win the cup at the Forum, so screw the Candiens.

Show up please Flames!!
Rittich is a damn good goalie BUT....if we don't have our forwards back checking against the Habs it'll be over fast.
JUST shooting from the perimeter isn't going to get a W ....make Price work...bump him, crowd him .
Weber and Chariot need to get hit and hit hard ALL night.
Gallagher and Fleury are 2 guys to watch out for and if they impact this game without a response from Tkachuk and Bennett without taking penalties no W.
60 minutes is what it'll take. Show up Flames...this Canadians team is tough.

I don't understand how people are upset about Rittich starting. He has to play at some point. We have a very good tandem I think.

If it's not Dube taking Nordstrom's spot, I'd much rather it be Buddy. Hopeuflly he brings a bit of energy to our abysmal 4th line. He had 14 hits in 5 games last year. He is older than Nordstrom, but I feel his GAF level is higher.

I say sit him until he is 100%, there is no need to rush an injury this early in the season.
