Don't think it deserves its own thread because it doesn't really matter - Mark Stone named first captain of the VGK.
Maybe surprised they didn't give it to a guy who was there from the start but, hey, I'm not in the locker room.

I'm sure he's a popular teammate and the decision will be fine, but has any other team done more to kill the "us against the world" vibe that helped propel them to so much success as the Vegas Golden Knights?
It hasn't cost them yet, but the moves they've done personnel wise of late can't be helping.

Engelland was the de facto captain in Year One. I thought it was a disservice to him they didn't give him the C officially.
There was immense pressure on his shoulders in the wake of the shooting, and he handled it very well. For that alone they should have given it to him IMO.
