Unfortunately, they cant ban him untill the 20th. It was established in the beginning of his presidency that twitter had to allow him no matter what because that's how this president chooses to mass communicate.

I've read online some calls for Trump's impeachment with the counter-argument that it doesn't really matter as he only has 3 weeks left. However, apparently an impeachment now would prevent a possible 2024 run. Is that correct?

Let them peacefully leave thinking they accomplished something (which we all know was futile). There's videos and photos to go after most of the worst offenders. Trying to arrest the entirety of an angry mob would only incite further violence and clashes and they likely don't have the resources to do so anyways. I don't mind it.

We all think these “protestors” are stupid and delusion. But if they truly believe what these idiots shave even feeding them for almost a year that the election was rigged and stolen then of course they would attempt to take matters into their own hands. They truly think it’s a democracratic party coup.

I ghost free republic fairly regularly, they dont really think the election was stolen in the sense you or I might use, they think it was stolen because people they dont really think are proper Americans, black and hispanics voted, that mail in voting made it to easy for the poor to vote, that isnt fearing a coup, that's just not wanting to lose power.

I can see where you're coming from, but I'm not even thinking locking up hundreds or thousands, but at least shut the doors and arrest all of them inside. Basically it just showed if they have a big enough crowd there will be little to no consequence, at least immediately. With 2 weeks of Trump left, that's a dangerous message to send.
