Not necessarily shopping per se, but I’m a big theatre Calgary fan and have enjoyed their live performance of A Christmas Carol in the past.
This year they’re offering a digital version for those who’d like to support the local arts.

Just had a flawless purchase and curbside pick up with pages book store in Kensington.

Be sure to check out your local comic book shop when you’re looking for more geeky items for your loved ones. Graphic novels, toys, games, statues, etc.

Anyone have a bakery they can recommend in the deep south, other than Glamorgan, for a birthday cake?

Pretty Sweet bakery is selling cookie sandwiches today with 50% going to the foodbank. They are selling 6 packs and 12 packs.

I think asking questions may be key to this thread thriving. Both of the gifts I got for my wife have been located by people asking which spurred thought for me.

I shop to Redd Skull on Edmonton Trail. The owner is awesome and they'll do delivery.

Another Dimension in Kensington is probably the biggest with the most selection.

I know/think one of the guys from Phoenix Comics on 16th posts on here. They're a great shop.

Can anyone suggest a coffee shop or similar small business in Chestermere that sells gift cards? I swear the whole town is nothing but chains.

Phil & Sebastian reduced the minimum spend for free shipping. min. $25 for all of Canada. You can also use their online gift cards to order donuts at Hoopla Donuts.

Does anyone know of any businesses selling turkey dinners for Christmas? Interested in a somewhat traditional Christmas dinner, but not interested in making a huge meal for 2 people since we wont be seeing any family....

Coop sells either a turkey, or sides, or both. It might be too much for just two people though.

If you're skeptical about the frozen, pre-stuffed butterball turkeys, there is no reason to be. They're actually super good - just throw one in the oven in the morning and call it a day. Mash up a couple of potatoes and you're good to go.

^thanks - I will check out all those options. Basically looking for something quick and easy to prepare, on most Christmas holidays we have family to help with all the cooking but this year it will just be two people (and 2 kids) at home
