Smart Light Switch Question

Anyone accomplish the following?

In my kitchen I have 2 light switches that control the lights. One is a standard switch and the other is a dimmer. I can approach either and turn the lights on and off.

I want to install a smart dimmer or switch that will turn the lights on and off.

I have found standard 3 way switches, but dimmers are hard to find.

Question is there a kit I need to buy? Do I need to just replace the standard switch and not the dimmer?

I tried today to put a smart dimmer in and it didn’t work. Not sure if I did it right. Any help appreciated!

What switch did you buy? I assume it’s a wifi switch?

It’s been awhile since I’ve looked and use Zwave switches myself. When I set up my smarthome, 3-way wifi switches were not available.

Some smart switches can use the existing switch and some require a companion switch.

Thanks I just got a 3 way Wemo switch non dimmer. Going to try that out!

It worked! Just needed to move the manual dimmer to the other switch and install the wemo. Took lots of trial and error but up and running.
