Maybe its an experiment to see if a live Ashoka and Sabine search for Ezra series.

Oh I definitely think she'll be a limited role and yeah I think Rosario is a good casting for an older Ashoka.
Kind of like her role in clone wars at the end, she'll be spot duty but show up when the chips are down. She's been developed as a great lightning rod in the sw universe.
Id honestly love to see a mandalorian style series based around Ashoka.

My guess is he finds Ashoka and she ultimately sends the Mandalorian off to find and deliver the child too...
Obi Wan. Leading into his series.

This series takes place 4 years after Return of the Jedi.

She's too damn powerful to do more than that.

Lol. Well you're right, that's a big miss.
Just excited for the Obi Wan series I guess.

I would have preferred Ashley Eckstein. Even if she doesn't have the acrobatic skills. Christopher Lee played a duelist.

My guess is is Ashoka takes the baby yodes, and heads into further exile at the end of it. Especially since there was a sith looking apprentice type scouting Mando out in the last episode.
Edit: and thus giving a major plot twist in any further Jedi force user trilogies. An ashoka trained yoda force user completely neutral.
Or, a yoda species sith lord. Thatd be freaky AF.

I wonder what quest Ahsoka will send Mando on before she tells him what's up with the Child.

Do you mean Sasha Banks wearing a cloak at the beginning of the episode?
She was one of the Mandalorians.

BUT just cuz she’s Mandalorian doesn’t mean she can’t also be a Sith/Sith apprentice. I don’t think anything here is done by accident, and the way her cloak is there is pretty suggestive. Perhaps a spy?

My only hope is that the name Yoda's species. Yoda as the embodiment of the entire species needs to be expanded upon.

In my opinion demystifying something that has long been a topic of speculation and fan theories almost never makes that thing better. I wouldn’t mind learning a bit more about the Yoda species, but they sure as hell better not have an entire flashback explaining their object-subject-verb speech pattern, Solo movie style.

Somehow I can't see this series having Baby Yoda going off anywhere. He's too big of an awww factor in this series.
One thing that is for sure, we're going to be heading into a conflict with the Imperials so we're likely to see Mando being blocked, Baby Yoda being kidnapped and Mando recruiting a team to take them on.
Maybe Snoke/Palpatine wants the baby and other jedi powerful for their blood to keep him alive on his pogo stick
(BTW I almost hope they don't bring anything in pointing towards the Sith or Snoke or Palpatine. )

Jedi and Sith, especially the top ranked ones don't scale well with this setting. it would be like having a Batman series where he's trying to outwit the Joker, and then suddenly Superman and Darkseid appear and start punching each other across the continent.

I'm pretty sure that every character of Yoda's species, both in canon and in legends, has been a light side user.
However, in the Clone Wars, they did show a dark side version of Yoda. He was a little gremlin, basically.
Ashoka isn't exactly a grey jedi. She's firmly on the light side. She just doesn't identify as being part of the jedi order, nor does she identify as a jedi.
