I think Creed and Nickelback should get together and colaborate on the worst song EVER heard.

Funny thing is, with your avatar I could definitely picture Dwight saying that.

You know Dwight would be rocking that song in his awesome 87 trans-am.

Wowee Zowee. If someone hates nickleback how can you assume that they hate new music?????
Uggh if you like ANY nickelback new or old, I would HATE to see what's on your Ipod.
And someone else said something how nickleback can't do anything right in our eyes??? Even if they gave away all their money it wouldn't take away from the fact that they are a scourge to your eardrums and base brain functions.

Nickleback is the greatest band in the world!
Urgent message to who started this post:
All you haters are wrong!
If you don't want to hear Nicklebunk bashing, don't start a post about them. Nobody needs to hear their particular brand of cheese rock.
They are SOOO... original!
To the guy who said that they were the defining band of an era, you must have your dial set firmly to suck, because their are WWWAAAAYYYY better bands out there that rightfully deserve the airtime that these hacks consistently take up.
None of their songs sound the same!
Theory of a dead Nicklefault reminds me of a lyric by Treble Charger, "a hundred million people can't be wrong". Well in this case they can, and are. Oh, and Treble Charger sucks too
If only more bands could be as good as they are! To those who do not enjoy spoon fed meat and potatoes rock groups, read between the lines.

Not that I'm trying to defend Nickelback because I'm not since I'm not a fan but if you're so sick about hearing about them on here there's a simple solution. Dont open threads about them.

hmmm either you guys are tone defs or mentally challenged. Nickelbacks songs do not all sound the same. Sure they sound similar, that's because their sung and played by the same people, no one magically changes there voice from album to album. And why break away from a formula that works. I know I sure wouldn't mind to be rollin around in the money their making and touring the world. Yes, you do have a point when you say their lyrics are relatively weak, but people in general don't want to listen to a song and try to analyse each line word by word. I think alot of the hate around nickelback comes from the fact that they've made it so big. People refuse to listen to them and try and be part of the in crowd that doesn't listen to the same music as everyone else. Well news to you guys by trying to be different from everyone you are all becoming the same. And whoever posted that video up their. That's the gayest **** i've ever seen. I could make a better one in media class at school.

I get why people don't like Nickelback. I don't get why they hate them.

Their songs are formulaic, sound pretty much the same, and the front-man is a bit of a tool. But the same could be send about hundreds of other bands/singers that routinely make Top40 Hits. And I can definitely understand why people hate Top40, but why that hate is directed at this particular band, I don't know...

I certainly don't hate them. I do like that photograph song.

But they do have too many songs that sound the same. I've wondered though if that's the fault of the producer.

I can think of a number of artists who consistently break the barriers set up by their last album. There is such a thing as creative genius and pride in some musicians, and as is clear with some rockstars que nickelback, that they are satisfied with putting out mediocre music so long as it sells.

Now for the second bit, that is kinda weak no? Unless the average age of people who post here is 13, I think the listening to music to be different is a thing of junior high, I listen to music that is different because I like it, but some of my favorite artists are still very successful, ie Beck, Yeah Yeah Yeah's, Queens of the Stoneage etc. Just because I also listen to groups of a smaller fan base doesn't mean that is the reason why I do. It is kind of silly when people chastise music fans with specific tastes on attempting to be different as to go against the norm. Once again a junior high thing. And guessing by your media class at school comment, you are in junior high.

Thats because it continues to be true....same reason we continue to discuss gravity or democracy.

Really? Did you learn that in media class?

http://www.theweb****e.net/nickelback.htm

Use earphones for the full effect.

There is two types of music in the world. Good music and bad music. B.B. King.

This band is an example of bad music.

EDIT: The censoring is a little much in this site sometimes. Replace the stars with sh it (no space).

Mediocore music in your view. I would say much of the music that popel think is great is mediocore or worse in my view.

Just as silly as those that listen to different music think their the cats ass for doing so and so much better of judge of music. (not saying it is you but that is the opinion of many posters here.)

Signed.. AC/DC

Seriously people, they have a "sound". I would bank on the issue that most that hate them don't like the sounds of the '80's or early '90's.

I can relate. I have not heard many bands in the latter '90's or beyond that I find to have a decent sound. Most of them suck badly. But this appears generational to some extent. I am not a Nickleback fan per se, but I don't mind their songs for the most part. Comparatively speaking, they are way ahead of the other garbage I hear nowadays. (Re-run, over-done, been-there-before, boring....)

I haven't heard a NEW head turning band let alone song for so long it is mind-boggling.

You're not looking in the right place. Nickelback is part of the re-run, over-done, been-there-before, boring stuff you speak of..they are the poster boys for crap music. Stop listening to CJAY 92, dig a little deeper, and you might find something interesting. Nickelback is not it.
