Meanwhile WalMart has no idea what's happening with my PS5. Last time I talked to them for an updated (as I'm having a shipping issue) they told me there are technical problems and they can't verify the status of my order or make any changes at the moment. Whatever the hell that means.

Nothing for me yet, the sooner they ship it out the better because I have a 3-4 day wait.
Yeah I didn't pay for express shipping. The blu ray version processed for me which is good because that is the one I decided to keep, if the other doesn't go through oh well it was going to a friend his loss.

I wasn't even going to try with express shipping. I did that once before and it still came 2-3 days after release. One of the many things I miss about living in the Vancouver area was getting things on release day or even the day before sometimes.

My Walmart preorder said they will charge my card when the item ships to my house, and the listed shipping date is November 12th. I’m preparing to be charged then.
The best way to play older games is emulation. RPCS3 isn't quite there yet, but it can play a good number of PS3 games at full speed now. Another year or two and it should be mature enough to handle most of the PS3 catalog
PS2 emulation is quite mature though, and I've been playing the Burnout games through PCSX2. When you crank up the res to 4K and add anti-aliasing, even PS2 games can look pretty decent
Thanked for burnout video! Criterion was one of the studios that EA acquired. I miss burnout!

The Burnout games were really fun. Makes me wonder what happened with the franchise.
EA bought Criterion and then shifted them to work on Need for Speed games once the Burnout games were better than EA's flagship Need for Speed line.
They made Hot Pursuit, Most Wanted, & helped out on Rivals, and haven't really made anything of their own since. They have been helping out DICE on some of their games.
I'm wondering if because my order has both a PS5 and Myles Morales in it that it's the reason why I haven't been charged yet.
I haven't ordered from Best Buy in a while so I can't remember if they're like Amazon and they charge you as an item becomes available or if they wait until every item is available.

So another casualty of EA then.

If you get charged does that mean your unit is being prepped for shipping and you should receive a shipping notification shortly?
I believe with Best Buy, it means they have a unit assigned to your order, and will ship it out when they can.
In the past I've had items come on release day. I expect shipping will start occurring for the Xbox on Friday/Monday and Playstation Monday/Tuesday, but could be totally wrong on that.
