I had a grim sense of foreboding this morning when Kayleigh said Trump would win easily. Kellyanne said the same thing last time, with confidence.

Even if they went with Sanders, the party would have kept him in line. Biden is pretty close to Hilary 2.0

Yeah, I was just thinking the same thing, I think the early vote / absentee vote hype maked some people forget that traditionally, urban centers are always the last to full count, tending to result in late Democratic swings.

Again, though, all that's needed is the red mirage. Trump will probably lead in PA at night's end (as he is right now) because they've explicitly said that they're counting the in-person votes first. The same is potentially true in Michigan. He's absolutely going to declare victory and then this is just going to be a total mess. It's exactly what I was worried about late last week.

Can people look at the numbers right now. The networks are showing 66M votes counted. There were 101M absentee and mail-in votes registered. That means there's somewhere between 80-90M votes left to count, much of it mail-in. Let the process work. This is exactly what the analysts said the result would look like election night then change over the next couple of days.

Maybe...
Looks like the Democrats made a huge mistake by going all in on identity politics.

Jorgenson with a massive 3.1% count in Pennsylvania, stealing enough votes from Biden to keep Trump in the lead. For now anyways.

Trump now up by over 5 points in Ohio.
People talking about how the reporting is coming in late from certain urban and suburban areas, it doesn't seem to be mattering here. The gap is still widening quickly. Granted, it should narrow again later if there are absentee ballots, which there probably are.

That’s just a good bet even if he loses. There is no way Trump is an 80% favourite at this point.

There's going to be so much therapy required after this. People are so damaged. It's the worst possible kind of stress.

Dems are in a weird spot in the US. They are kind of stuck in the message that at least they are better than the Republicans. Reminds me of all the crappy leaders the Liberals put up against Harper.
